At Black Horse Hill Junior School, our curriculum is designed to develop the behaviours and habits our children will need to become independent and effective learners.

We provide first hand learning experiences that allow children to develop curiosity and creativity. Our approach enables our children to make meaningful links with their learning.

Our curriculum enables us to build strong relationships, celebrate diversity, encourage respect and build a sense of community that lives by our school values of: Perseverance; Friendship; Motivation & Hard Work; Politeness & Good Manners; Respect; Kindness; Honesty and Excellence

Responsibility is an essential part of our curriculum and we encourage children to take on key roles, become involved in the community and be proactive in protecting our environment for future generations.

Children leave our school with a sense of belonging and are proud that they have developed the confidence and skills needed to be learners for life.
